Terence E. Burns

Terence E. Burns, CFA is the President and Founder of Campion Asset Management, a boutique investment advisory firm that serves individuals, families, and tax-exempt organizations. Terence has overall responsibility for client servicing, establishing investment policy and strategic asset allocation, setting capital market return expectations, security selection, and firm compliance.

With over 20 years of investment analysis and portfolio management experience, Terence has served a wide range of individuals and tax-exempt organizations. Prior to founding Campion, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Bank of America Private Bank. Former affiliations also include Riggs & Co., the Association for Investment Management & Research and Fannie Mae. Throughout his career Terence has received numerous awards for outstanding client service and financial analysis.

As an active volunteer in the investment community, Terence has served as President of CFA Society Washington, DC, a President’s Council Representative for CFA Institute and a member of CFA Institute Standards of Practice Committee. He also was a contributing author on the third edition of Managing Investment Portfolios, A Dynamic Process (CFA Institute April 2007). Terence currently serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Wealth Management.

Terence also contributes to the community through teaching. He has served as an adjunct professor at both the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business and the University Of Virginia McIntire School Of Commerce. Terence received a M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland. Terence holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Washington, DC. He grew up in Potomac, Maryland and attended Saint Anselm’s Abbey School. He now lives in Fairfax Station, Virginia with his family. In his spare time, Terence enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and playing golf.

Ankit Choksi is the Manager of Operations and Compliance of Campion Asset Management.  Ankit participates in the development and administration of Campion’s operations and compliance program. He joined Campion in April 2013 as a Research Associate.

Prior to joining the Campion team, Ankit worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an Operations Analyst within Sales and Trading and as a Client Service Representative for the High Yield Bond sales desk. He also volunteered in his local community as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Ankit received a M.B.A. from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University. While at Rutgers, he was a member of the Emerging Leaders Institute and a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon honors society. Ankit holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Washington, DC.

Michael Burns joined Campion in June 2019 as a Portfolio Management Analyst. Michael participates in implementing clients’ investment policy, security analysis, economic research and client reporting as well as the ongoing monitoring and rebalancing of client portfolios.

Prior to joining the Campion team, Michael interned with the Fixed Income team at ICMA-RC and Campion Asset Management.

Michael graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in May 2019 with a B.S. in Finance. Michael is a Level 1 candidate in the CFA® program.
